Research databases give you access to magazine, journal and newspaper articles as well as books, book chapters, reference books, images, video and many other sources. When searching the databases outside of the library, you will be prompted to enter your entire 14-digit library barcode number (beginning with 21000...).

Alphabetical List of All Library Databases :
A to Z the USA
A database covering the 50 states and 6 U.S. territories, contains information on state, counties and cities, and includes maps, flags, photos, and facts.

Auto Repair Reference Center
This database contains repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles. New repair procedures, TSBs and updates are added to the product on a regular basis. All of the content in ARRC has been created by ASE certified technicians.

Business Source Premier
This database is the industry’s most used business research database, providing full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles. This database provides full text back to 1886, and searchable cited references back to 1998. Business topics covered include marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. This database is updated daily.


Contemporary Authors
Provides complete bibliographic information and references on all of the more than 120,000 U.S. and international authors. It is accessed through PowerLibrary.

Education Resource Information Center (ERIC)
This database is an excellent source for finding information about education related topics. It contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

Funk & Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia
This online encyclopedia contains 25,000 entries covering a variety of subject areas.

Gale Virtual Reference Library: Medicine and Science Topics
This database provides access to online versions of print references in the topic areas of medicine and science.

Global Road Warrior
A database with multicultural info on the nations of the world. Good for student projects and world travelers.

This database offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700 records.

Kids Search
This searching interface was designed specifically for elementary/middle school students according to their needs and search abilities. Kids Search makes it easier for students to look for their subjects of interest by automatically searching across all relevant databases simultaneously.

Learning Express Library
This database offers online practice tests and computer skills tutorials. Great for job hunters. You'll find an entire Learning Center dedicated to helping you get the information that is right for you.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA)
This database indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Literature Criticism Online
This database provides literary criticisms from the most acclaimed literary series from Gale: Contemporary Literary Criticism, Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism, Nineteenth-Century Literature Criticism, Shakespearean Criticism, Literature Criticism from 1400–1800, Classical and Medieval Literature Criticism, Poetry Criticism, Short Story Criticism, Drama Criticism, and Children's Literature Review.

MAS Ultra - School Edition
Designed specifically for high school libraries, this database contains full text for nearly 500 popular, high school magazines. MAS Ultra – School Edition also provides more than 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, over 107,000 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 510,000 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.

MasterFILE Premier
Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags. This database is updated daily.

Middle Search Plus
This database provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and a School Image Collection of photos, maps and flags.

Newspaper Source
This database provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. Full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.

This database provides full text for more than 70 popular, magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990.

Regional Business News
This database provides comprehensive full text regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of more than 80 regional business publications covering all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.

Three popular elementary and middle school databases (Primary Search, Middle Search Plus and Book Collection: Nonfiction) can be accessed via Searchasaurus. Searchasaurus offers an animated interface with a dinosaur theme that encourages students to enhance and develop basic search methodologies as they gather information on a wide range of topics. Searchasaurus offers Lexile limiters (reading level), making it easy for students to read and research only appropriately challenging materials.

Student Research Center
This searching interface provides students in secondary education with the most appropriate research tools for easily researching a wide range of topics. Students can search through various content sources (e.g., Magazines, Newspapers, Biographies, Country Reports, Film & Video) and limit their search according to appropriate Lexile reading levels.

Teacher Reference Center
This database provides indexing and abstracts for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

WorldBook Encyclopedia Online
Includes encyclopedia articles, primary source collections, images, audio, and video, plus access to current periodicals.
